Included in this section is detailed analysis of the NRA’s proprietary Restaurant Performance Index and Tracking Survey. The monthly RPI measures against a steady-state level of 100; values above 100 indicate that key industry indicators are in a period of expansion, while values below 100 represent a period of contraction. The Index consists of two components – the Current Situation Index and the Expectations Index. Launched in 2002, this unique index measures the health of and outlook for the U.S. restaurant industry.
