The Association is working with leading restaurant brands and independent scientific experts to promote delicious, better-for-you meal options for their youngest guests. KLW menu options meet added sugar, sodium, fat, and calorie thresholds established by the latest nutrition science.
Participating restaurants offer a minimum of 2 meals and 2 sides that have undergone rigorous dietary analysis by nutritionists. This ensures the meals align with the current nutrition science, including the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, published by the U.S. Departments of Agriculture (USDA) and Health and Human Services (HHS) every five years.
Participating restaurants also commit to a default beverage policy that puts water, milk, and juice first, with other beverages available on request.

In addition, Compass Group is offering clients two KLW-approved meals and side as part of the following brands: Bon Appetit Management Company, Levy Restaurants, Restaurant Associations, and Wolfgang Puck Catering Division.
