National Food Safety Month Goes Back to Basics, Looking at “Food Safety at Every Level”
Between August 29 and October 2, the experts at ServSafe will curate free content including checklists, white papers, posters, and webinars focused on essential skills at every level. These include:
- Week 1 – Food Handler: Basic food safety checklists and cooking time & temperature guides
- Week 2 – Food Manager: A manager’s guide to passing health inspections and checklists to perform restaurant self-inspections
- Week 3 – Multi-unit Operator: A manager’s guide to developing a culture of food safety
- Week 4 – Executive Team: An executive white paper on Developing a Culture of Food Safety and a food safety culture scorecard
- Week 5 – Beyond Times and Temperatures: A food allergens breakroom poster and Responsible Alcohol Service support materials
NFSM, held annually in September, was created in 1994 by the National Restaurant Association to heighten awareness about the importance of food safety education. The 2022 NFSM is sponsored by Tork and Ecolab.
