The National Restaurant Association, The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, and their affiliated organizations (collectively, the “Organizations”) are committed to safeguarding the health and welfare of their attendees, exhibitors, partners, and team members attending official external events organized or conducted by the Organizations.

Just as the Organizations have set a policy requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all of their team members and office visitors to help ensure in-person events take place with lower risk to participants, effective January 1, 2022, the Organizations will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative testing for admittance to in-person meetings and events.

This policy is based on guidance and recommendations issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health authorities. The COVID-19 vaccines approved by the FDA for emergency use authorization and the vaccines that the FDA has fully approved have been determined to be critical in reducing the community prevalence and spread of COVID-19.

Until further notice, all registrants, guests and staff for in-person external events organized or conducted by the Organizations will be required to:

  • Be fully vaccinated as specified by the CDC (with full vaccination completed at least two weeks prior to the event) against COVID-19.
  • Or, provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or Rapid Antigen) taken within 72 hours of arrival at the event.

After registering for the meeting or event, you will receive an email instructing you as to how to upload your proof of vaccination or recent negative test with our third-party service provider, CrowdPass. In order to maintain the health and safety of our staff, we WILL NOT be able to verify vaccine or testing status in person at the event. All attendees must have verified their status through the service provider.

The Organizations will also require registrants to accept an Event Acknowledgment Waiver and Release (COVID and Likeness) at the same time as the vaccine or testing information upload process, and to comply with all state or local health or mask mandates in place for the event location.

For those who are not able to comply with this policy, we will notify you if an opportunity for virtual attendance and/or participation at the Event will be offered.
