CEO Search

Restaurants are at the heart of every American community, and this year, more than 15.3 million employees will come to work in the restaurant industry every day. Founded in 1919, the National Restaurant Association is the largest foodservice trade association in the world. We represent and advocate on behalf of more than 500,000 restaurant businesses.  
 
As we announced earlier this year, Dawn Sweeney will be retiring after 12 years of leading the National Restaurant Association and National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Beginning in 2020, a new President & CEO will lead the Association. This person will be forward-thinking, passionate, and highly collaborative. Their role includes leading the Association and National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, representing the industry at the highest levels of government, and being a tireless advocate for the advancement of the industry across the country.      
 
Partnership are central to this role. The President & CEO works closely with the Association and Foundation Boards, actively engages with membership, drives successful business outcomes, and works with our State Restaurant Associations to advance our vision and mission.
