National Restaurant Association Announces New Chief Information Officer
(Washington, D.C.) The National Restaurant Association today announced that Kevin Steele has joined the organization as its new Chief Information Officer. Kevin joins the association most recently from Cars.com, where he held the position of Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.
In his new role, Steele will lead the Association's information technology (IT) and project management operations (PMO) teams and will be a strategic advisor on cybersecurity and technology related matters affecting Association members.
"Kevin brings strategic vision combined with a record of excellence in tactical execution," said Barbara Polk, Chief Administrative Officer for the National Restaurant Association. “We are thrilled to have him on our team as we continue to implement our long-term strategies for the industry and the association.”
Prior to Cars.com, Steele was Director of Internet Marketing Techbology at Allstate Insurance where he was responsible for the Allstate.com platform. During his tenure, Steele consistently created and delivered technical capabilities to enable business growth and customer value.
Steele has worked with some of America’s most prestigious companies including United Airlines, McDonald's Corp., and CNA Insurance. Throughout his career, he has successfully applied technology as a business enabler, improved IT productivity, and has enjoyed the privilege of building and leading exceptionally high-performing teams.
Steele graduated from Southern Illinois University with a B.S. in Applied Technical Studies, Computer Science, and Marketing. He resides in Hoffman Estates, Ill., with his wife, Debby, and son, Jackson.
