ServSuccess program courses are free through April; upskill yourself for the future
Homebound restaurant employees have the opportunity to use this time to upskill – for free – thanks to the National Restaurant Association ServSafe and ServSuccess programs as well as American Hotel & Lodging Foundation.
During the coronavirus health crisis, the Association is offering free access to its ServSuccess Restaurant Professional and Restaurant Supervisor learning suites, in addition to ServSafe courses and training videos.
AHLEI offers Supervisory Skill Builders; Hospitality Manager: Leadership; and Certified Hotel Administrator Review courses.
All are free for the month of April.
“ServSuccess and AHLEI want to help our industry’s dedicated professionals position themselves for career opportunities that will become available when our industry is able to open its doors and fully serve guests again,” said Sherman Brown, the Association’s executive vice president of training and certification.
“By making these career-focused training courses available in this very difficult time, we are reinforcing our support for our talented workforce and our belief that they – and the industry – can come back strong and resilient.”
The ServSuccess online learning suites provide training on the skills and knowledge the industry identifies as essential for career restaurant employees. The two suites consist of five courses each and are easy to complete online. People who complete either learning suite are prepared to take the corresponding proctored exam needed to receive certification.
Use this time to take advantage of these free courses to improve your skillset, and parlay those skills into advanced positions.
