Association, SmartBrief team up for 2nd Innovation Awards
Seek nominations for best-in-class products and services helping operators work smarter and better
The National Restaurant Association and digital media publisher SmartBrief are again teaming up to present the Innovation Awards for Foodservice, to recognize cutting-edge products and services for the restaurant industry.
This is the second year the Association and SmartBrief are highlighting the products and solutions that are helping industry professionals work smarter, safer, and more sustainably, especially now as operators face myriad challenges changing the business environment.
Product and service nominations for the awards, open through Sept. 16, should fit within these categories:
1. Sustainability products
2. Technology solutions
3. Safety and health solutions
A panel of judges from renowned restaurants, the National Restaurant Association, and SmartBrief will evaluate and select the winners based on uniqueness, problem-solving ability, price value, and suitability for use. They include:
• Shannon Tolliver, Social Responsibility & Environmental Sustainability Manager, White Castle
• Jorge Hernandez, Vice President, Quality Assurance, Wendy's
• Nitin Malhotra, Senior Director, Enterprise PMO, Chipotle Mexican Grill
• Laura Abshire, Director of Food & Sustainability Policy, National Restaurant Association
• Kevin Steele, Chief Information Officer, National Restaurant Association
• Amy Sung, Director of Content, Food & Travel, SmartBrief
• Patricia Contreras, Associate Director of Content, Food & Beverage, SmartBrief
• Janet Forgrieve, Editor, Food & Beverage, SmartBrief
