National Restaurant Association statement on House Republicans’ regulatory reform plan

Washington, D.C. -- The National Restaurant Association today released the following statement in support of the House Republican Task Force report on regulatory reform: 

 

“We appreciate the Task Force’s focus and commitment to changing today’s damaging regulatory subculture that negatively impacts small businesses in every community. As the nation’s second-largest private-sector employer, the restaurant industry provides essential work skills, career paths and economic success for millions of Americans. Excessive, burdensome regulations – such as the overtime overhaul and change to the long-existing joint-employer standard – threaten advancement opportunities for our workforce and a climate of business growth and investment.”
