Restaurant Industry Staffing Trends Were Mixed in Recent Months
Within the restaurant industry, employment trends were mixed in recent months, according to figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The fullservice segment shed jobs at a 0.8 percent rate between September 2008 and September 2009, while limited-service restaurant employment declined 0.5 percent during the same period.
