Providing thought leadership to inspire community involvement and impact

Philanthropy isn't just good for the community; it's good for your restaurant. Getting involved in community outreach helps boost employee morale, promotes goodwill among guests and can increase sales.

At the National Restaurant Association, we believe that restaurants are the cornerstones of their communities. Our initiatives award community service and environmental awareness.

The Association helps — with programs that showcase outstanding community involvement and offer a straightforward roadmap to doing good.

Restaurant Neighbor Awards
The National Restaurant Association and American Express salute restaurateurs who go above and beyond in giving back to their communities through the Restaurant Neighbor Award. Each year, we give away $20,000 to restaurants for their outstanding community projects.

Conserve: Solutions for Sustainability
The National Restaurant Association's Conserve initiative is designed to initiate and inspire actions that improve a company's bottom line, but also are good for people and the planet. Conserve explores conservation efforts being adopted by restaurants around the nation and offers suggestions and resources to help you reduce the cost of running your operation — both to your bottom line and the environment.
