(Chicago) The National Restaurant Association today announced registration for news media is now open for its 2010 Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show and International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event (IWSB). NRA Show 2010 will be held May 22-25, at McCormick Place in Chicago, and is the restaurant and hospitality industry’s largest trade show. IWSB 2010 will be held in conjunction with the NRA Show on May 23-24, and is the only beverage alcohol event exclusively focused on the restaurant and hospitality industry. Registration is available online for credentialed members of the news media and restaurant, food, beverage, foodservice and hospitality industry bloggers at www.restaurant.org/show.

“Nearly 500 journalists and bloggers from across the U.S. and around the world attended NRA Show 2009 and IWSB 2009 to report on new products and the latest industry trends,” said David Gilbert, chief operating officer of the National Restaurant Association. “The NRA Show is a must-attend event for anyone covering the restaurant and foodservice industry, and offers more experts, trend-setters, celebrity chefs, and innovative products and services than any other event. In just four days, attending writers and editors will gather story ideas, sources and trends to cover all angles of the industry, from menus and front-of-the-house technology, to back-of-the-house equipment and operational strategies. Many consumer trends start in foodservice, so the NRA Show provides the first peek under the tent.”

The NRA Show is the global restaurant and foodservice industry’s most comprehensive event, featuring celebrity chefs and restaurateurs performing culinary showcases and signing their latest books, access to industry leaders in more than 60 education sessions and special events, and more new product launches than any other venue.

Now in its third year, IWSB is the industry's first and only professional forum focused exclusively on restaurant and hospitality bar programs. Held in a separate exhibit area of McCormick Place, the event gathers brewers, vintners and distillers, leading beverage experts, beverage alcohol buyers, chefs and restaurateurs and much more in one exclusive area.

Credentialed journalists receive free access to both the NRA Show and IWSB when registering for either event. The Association is also welcoming bloggers who regularly write about restaurants and food to attend as press. For eligibility requirements, visit the Show Web site.

The annual National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show is the largest single gathering of restaurant, foodservice and lodging professionals. NRA Show 2010 will be held May 22-25, at McCormick Place in Chicago. The event attracts attendees and visitors from all 50 states and 100+ countries, and showcases more products, services, innovative ideas and other growth opportunities than any other industry event.
