What:
The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. will host its third annual NASDAQ OMX Food & Restaurant Industry Forum, including panel discussions and a NASDAQ Closing Bell, to discuss the state of the industry and trends within the food and restaurant industry sector. Hudson Riehle, senior vice president of the National Restaurant Association’s Research & Knowledge Group, will provide a state-of-the-industry update.
The Forum is being organized in collaboration with industry leaders such as the National Restaurant Association, along with various key experts such as Nation’s Restaurant News and the The Wall Street Journal. The Wall Street Journal reporter, Julie Jargon will conduct a Fireside Chat with Panera Bread CFO, Jeff Kip.
Panels themes / discussions will include:
“Marketing in a New World” - How food & beverage companies and restaurants are adopting social media and creating marketing techniques into their strategy to better reach consumers;
“Branding, Licensing & Growth” - How food & restaurant companies are driving growth and brand extensions through licensing;
“Business in the Current Economic Environment” - How restaurants & food companies are adjusting their business approach to cope with a challenging economic environment to continue driving sales.
