NRA/Nasdaq Forum to Examine Growth Strategies May 29, 2009 Executives from leading restaurant companies will share strategies for operating efficiently and driving growth at the National Restaurant Association’s third annual economic forum with Nasdaq. The forum in New York City is for restaurant operators, investors, analysts and financial journalists. The stock exchange conducts similar forums for other industries. Hudson Riehle, the NRA’s senior vice president, research and knowledge, will open the forum with a session on the state of the restaurant industry. The forum also will include so will feature three panel discussions and an interview with Panera Bread Co. CEO Jeff Kip by a Wall Street Journal reporter. The panel discussions are: • Marketing in a New World. Discover how leading restaurant and food and beverage companies use social media and creative marketing techniques to better reach consumers. • Branding, Licensing and Growth. Find out how food and restaurant companies drive growth and brand extensions through licensing. Panelists include James D. White, president and CEO, Jamba Inc.; David Wenner, president and CEO, B&G Foods; and Sarah Lockyer, financial editor, Nation’s Restaurant News. • Business in the Current Economic Environment. Restaurants and food companies are adjusting their business approaches to continue to drive sales in a challenging economic environment to continue driving sales. Get an inside look at innovative practices from Dirk Montgomery, senior vice president and chief financial officer, OSI Restaurant Partners; Christopher O'Donnell, CEO, Famous Dave's of America; and William Freeman, CEO, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants. Nicole Miller Regan, managing director and senior research analyst, Piper Jaffray, will moderate the discussion.
